Is it normal that the stock XZX and later MX4 Michelins on my'85 NX6
wagon hydroplane on wet pavement? It's especially alarming when the
front end slides out of control on hard braking. I bought the car new in
1985 and so far I've never hit anything, but I'm about to buy its fourth
set of new tires and am open to suggestions for alternatives to the
stock Michelins. Would replacing the wheels with TRX alloys (would they
fit?) and tires be helpful? Any ideas out there?
