Well...this is partially right. I think Douglas said '60-'64, right? The
140-series cars didn't come out until 1966, so that would take that out as a
possibility. However, the PV544 (the old 40s Ford looking Volvo) was made until
'65. So it could've been an Amazon/120-series (late 50's to around '70) or a
PV544 (started as PV444 in the late 40s, made til '65). I've always wanted a
PV544 Sport for my daily driver...they were very popular and succesful in
rallying in the 60s, and are supposed to be lots of fun and reliable.

Your grandma' Volvo is either the end of the 122S run or the beginning of the
144 run. The 122S was a good car for it's day as is sort of a classic. The
144S is less distinctive but more contemporary in design.
