If the bendix works AND you have a good connection to the battery, the
starter should turn, if it doesn`t, the starter motor is bad or the contacts
the bendix makes are bad.Either case a new starter.
Make sure the heavy wire to the starter and the ground return have clean
connections, make sure the spade connection on the solenoid(bendix) is
corrosion free( V typical). Put a test light on the this spade, it should
light up when you turn the key.
Sorry I don`t recall where the neutral safety switch is, not in the tranny I
hope. the relay though is by the brake booster.

Hope it helps,
George Nunez

help help help

ALL ACCESSORIES ON MY 505 WORK INCLUDING MY FUEL PUMP. BUT THE STARTER
DOES NOTHING. I PUT A JUMPER TO THE STARTER AND THE BENDIX GOES IN AND BACK
BY IT WILL NOT ROLL THE ENGINE. I SUSPECT THAT THE STARTER SAFETY SWITCH IS
BAD. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE SWITCH IS OR WHAT MY PROBLEM IS.
