I can't say that I've been set on fire by the washer system either, the
latter 505's with the two twin jets are much more effective that the earlier
system of one. After spending most of the winter trying to unclog the jets,
I retrofitted - read: popped out, then popped in - a set of jets from a
Dodge? Neon. They work like a charm. For the one nozzle sysem, it might be
worth looking at one of the fancy three jet nozzles from a fancier Dodge
product - an Intrepid, or the like.
On the topic of RainX I've had fairly good luck with it, but it seems to
need to be reapplied regularly, the most recent application killed the noise
that was going on. However, I don't know if I'd put it on another car.
