Subject: [Peugeot] XN6 - misfire, still stumped
Hello All,
I'm officially running out of ideas... Bubbles is not co-operating at all,
at all. She ( an '85, 505 STI) is still misfiring. I've been through
several sets of wires, plugs, cap, rotor are good - and relatively new. Last
night I MacGyvered another coil into the car and swapped out the module with
one that I've been keeping in reserve. I'm running out of ideas. I'll have a
look this evening to see if the #1 & 2 plugs are fouled, 3&4 have
consistently been good. Fuel mixture shouldn't be too bad, have been playing
with that for the last few days. Could it be in the distributor? It _can't_
be anything to do with the engine - I haven't the time or the resources to
pull that apart again.....
Any thoughts would be welcome....
Tim
