1984 505 STI Questions...

I was driving down the street and my eyes locked on a Chocolate-colored
505 STI Sedan for sale (Or that's what the badge said...) less than a
block from my house. However, I had a couple of questions about the
VIN:

Column 6 (Engine)
"1" -- XN6 2.0 FI
Column 8 (Model Series & Transmission)
"6" -- "S", SWB, Turbo Sedan, "S" M/T (50 State)

1) I thought the STI was a turbo, so should have at least something more
than the XN6. (Not sure which one - maybe one of the N9T engines?)

2) Also, if it is an STI, why would the model be "9", which is "STI, "S"
Touring M/T?

Is someone trying to pull a fast one here?
