Well, I took my used '82 505 turbo diesel automatic off roading
(unintentionally) back in '92 in Utah over the Pony Express route. Only thing
out there was livestock and a truck or two. And only a truck or Jeep would
want to be there. I could tell the wheels were bouncing full travel, but
inside it was smooth ride all the way. (Though overhead rear dome light fell
apart from the jolts.) Was an amazing several hours trip.
