I don`t have a 405 so I can`t say anything about those Raybestos on a 405,
but a
general statement is that the cheapo pads will PROBABLY squeal. That can be
v annoying.
To me the important things in pads are that they don`t squeal, and that they
don`t turn
the wheels black from brake dust. If you get one with these things its bound
to be a quality pad.
As far as rotors, some scoring is acceptable, the reasons to change them
are: Under min. thickness(stamped on them somewhere) or they are warped.
And, he is right, most braking is done by the front wheels.
