I took the Roto Diesel priming pump apart, cleaned & lubed the priming
plunger and the diaphragm. I can now feel good suction with my finger over
the inlet (by closing the outlet and opening the bleed valve slightly). I
got the Roto Diesel pump working right after I fixed a pin-hole leak in the
aluminum canister of the Purflux unit in my 82 604 TD. Since the Purflux
fuel filter looks new and I still have spare filter elements for it, I'll
continue to use the Purflux unit. The Roto Diesel unit will be in the trunk
as a spare. - -Steve
