150hp in the US....160hp overseas. The reason for the 10hp difference is
that the European model used slightly higher compression pistons, and had
no catalytic converter.

Sure. Motronic cars usually take to being chipped fairly well. The
Mi16 engine is (in the extreme) good for a tick over 200hp. All the rage
in the UK is fitting an Mi16 engine into a 205 GTI, with dual carbs, cams,
balanced, every old engine trick in the book to make 210hp.

Shoudl be fairly easy to at least bump it up to say 170-180. And you'd
feel it.

I have a Superchip in my Mi16. Now I need a new exhaust to make it sing
sing sing.
