I replaced my fuel pump around 3 months ago, the problem at that time was t=
he car (ZDJL) won't start. I checked the fuel at the fuel rail, there is no=
fuel coming out from this. Then I checked the fuel pump fuse behind the as=
htray, and it's OK. I checked the fuel pump relay at the steering column, i=
t's OK. And then I checked the voltage at the fuel pump, it's OK. I remove =
the fuel pump and try to connect to the 12 V battery, the fuel pump doesn't=
work (stuck). Then I replaced with the new one, and the ZDJL runs well.
This is just my experience with the fuel pump problem.

I'm still stranded, and am trying to figure out if my mechanic errs whe=
n he says that the cause of my Peugeot not running is a bad fuel pump. (As=
I noted in an earlier e-mail, the mechanic put in a new blower, I drove th=
e car away and a mile down the road the engine died and won't start. I'm a=
ssuming he screwed up something electrical when changing the blower. He's=
telling me I need a new fuel pump, which I find hard to believe.) In my e=
xperience, fuel pumps fail intermittentally before failing all together. I=
s it possible for the fuel pump to die completely without any warning? Sec=
ondly, is there anything around the blower which, if disturbed, could stop =
the car from running? I'm hoping to fix the car here; towing it 60 miles t=
o Tucson would cost at least $250.
