Thanks, George - this is the part I didn't get. I could feel the light
assembly moving around when I undid the spring and removed the balljoint,
but had no idea they came out sideways. Anyway, it's done now, and took
about fifteen minutes total. Thanks again :)

Will do. For the record, I fitted H6054XV Sylvanias, which are a direct
replacement for the Hella units and available from any Pep Boys for around
$12 apiece. I'll let you know how I get on.
