I saw an 87 505 Turbo over the weekend that had been rear-ended at 45 mph by
a 3/4 ton flat bed tow truck. The truck went over the rear bumper and crushed
the car, up to the passenger compartment. It produced enough force to drive
the tire iron through the gas tank and into the wheel, and force the center
of the dash panel, with AC controls and radio, out. The driver said he didn't
even see the car before he hit. From what I understand, the woman got out of
the Peugeot with a little bit of back pain. I'm going to try and get pictures
of this and post them.

Second hand story:

A friend of a friend was driving home late at night in his 89 505 Turbo
Sedan. A drunk driver entering the highway slipped on a patch of ice and
collided with the sedan head on. The Peugeot was moving at 70 mph. The driver
of the Peugeot didn't even have time to lift his foot off the accelerator
before the impact. He suffered a broken rib from the position his seatbelt
was in, and a broken hand because his hand flew forward and hit the
windshield - with enough force to break the windshield. The driver of the
other car was killed.
