84on 505 lights are snap-ins, but there is a recommended order.
The vertical adjusting rods have a tender upper attachment; if you pull
the lights out with them still in place you will probably break the socket
and the rods won't stay in place when you put them back.
So, push down on the gray or black plastic ear on the back of the headlight
bucket til the vertical adjuster rod clears and push it gently aside.
(Back off the adjuster screw if necessary).
Then, if you can reach them, disconnect the long coil (Red Cross) spring,
the headlight wires plug, and the small bulb plug.
Pull the inner edge of the headlight housing, next to the grille forward,
then push the outer edge of the housing toward the grille til its mounting
ball pops out of its socket. Then disconnect any wires and springs you
could not get to before. Be careful with that spring! It thinks you're
there to donate blood.
