He had saved his wife's 504 Sedan that had been pulled over on by a cement mixer truck at highway speed. The whole front end of the car was resting on the ground and just ripped to shreds, BUT the entire roof, pillar section, and side were relatively intact considering that the car was practically run over and stuck underneath the offending truck. This guy swore by the 504 for being as sturdy as it is and was. He wouldn't let his wife drive anything else but a 504. Of course he had also done a XD3T swap to his wife "new" 504. NOW that was an interesting car. It had a BMW turbo kit on it with an intercooler that had a very hard time
keeping its back tires from spinning into clouds of smoke. :)
Just thought that would provide some additional "real" world proof at how sturdy these cars can be.

The car was running downhill at 150km/h (94MPH, I think) when the driver lost the control of the car (I don't know the reason, if drunk or try to avoid a colision) , skidded and hit a tree between the front and rear door. The car was chopped in a half, the rear half was completely destroyed, but the driveline remain intact and connected to the gearbox. A guy was there told me that the engine still running after the crash, but I don't believe it. The most incredible part it's the driver just had minor scratches! (I saw that guy a few days after that accident).
