I think Ferrari would disagree with the statement regarding Peugeot having
the more powerful engine!!! Merc has the most powerful, then Ferrari, Ford
getting close!

The televison babblers for the recent French GP -- one of the most exciting
RACES in F1 for years! -- said that Trulli's Prost-Peugeot had the highest
top speed by nearly 10mph over the nearest rival. While other factors like
gearing, aero setup, tires and traction exiting corners all contribute to top
speed, this otherwise mid-pack car could not have achieved such a mark
without horsepower equivalent to the other top runners.
What "Mercedes" do you mean, by the way? The one designed and built by
England's Ilmor Engineering? And which "Ford"? Perhaps the one designed and
built by England's Cosworth (now, through the most circuitous shuffling,
owned by Ford!)? Finally, which "Ferrari"? Maybe it is the one designed by
former Honda engineer Isamo Goto. At least Peugeot can actually take credit
for the engine that bears their name.
