Peugeots are difficult?

Hey, I'm finally posting to the new list.

I've done pretty much everything you can think of on my 505
turbo (N9TE). While a few operations are harder than they
should, compared to other cars it's not that bad.

Some examples:

Starter: It took me a good hour circling the car,
thinking about doing it or not (typically I spend
more time procrastinating than fixing the problem),
then it took me 30 minutes to move out of the way:
the battery, coolant expansion tank, cables; remove
the three bolts and take the starter out (moving it
toward the front of the engine and slowly dropping
it on the ground, just behind the alternator).
30 minutes and that was the first time I was
doing it. Took me 20 minutes to reinstall the
overhauled unit. To me that was a snap.

Alternator: unit and all belts in about
2 hours R&R.

Heater fan: 5 minutes to remove
the intercooler and 15 R&R.

Turbo: R&R, about
1 day including the swap of wastegate (well
because of a missing bolt it took me a few
additional hours the next day).

In all, space is not that tight. What typically
slows me down is finding the proper tool in my
tool shed but mostly, getting a replacement
part.
