I haven't tried it but in theory it's impossible. It's not the diameter
it's causing the interferance with caliber but it's the OFFSET! 405 has
very unusualy shaped front disk and caliper configuration and has unusualy
low 20mm offset compare to 35 to 38mm of most front wheel drive cars on
the road. Again you need an adapter or spacer in thickness of 15mm to 20mm
to change the offset to 35mm to 40mm. It's not the width of the wheel or
diameter of the wheel that is causing the caliper clearance problem. And
it's not the bolt pattern either. Originaly 405 came with 14" wheels and
405 T16 came 16" wheels so you can fit 14" to 16" at least in 5.5" to 6.5"
wide as long as you have proper 20mm offset. (Also if you increase the
width too much say 8", again you need even lower offset of say 15mm to
push the wheel outward) Trust me. It's impossible so don't even think
about it.

ps. Just in case anyone who doesn't understand the defenition of OFFSET
and the whole idea of bolt patterns and calculating tire size let me know.
