    All:

Just recently converted the lights on my MB 300TD to Euro type. Stock
(exisiting) Wagner Halogen sealed beams were downright awful, I was
constantly switching on the Bosch fogs when I had a chance. A recent
late night run on the Hutchinson and Merrit parkways (drivers
roads...twisty, dark and treacherous, as well a blast in my 505) had me
spooked and determined to upgrade. Having done a little research, I
opted for the reasonably priced Hella Vision H4 type units w/
replaceable bulbs to retrofit my 7" round stock lamps. What a
difference! Especially at the edges and foreground of the road. I used
the existing aim settings, so far no flashes from on-coming traffic.
Seems the Euro beam puts more light on the road and its sharp cut-off
averts blinding oncoming or leading cars. Makes you wonder why we're
    stuck w/ DOT standards. Anyway....
