My car bio:
1971 VW Beetle: Paid $600 and developed many problems. Worked all summer
in 1978 for it.
1978 Renault LeCar: Dad bought it for me for college: Great mpg had
starter problems. Totalled it and walked away with minor bruises.
1976 Opel Manta: Bought in 1981 my senior year of college. Blew engine
due to seal problem.
1982,1984 Chevy Malibu Station Wagons: Company Car’s. One was green the
other maroon.
1976 Peugeot 504. My Dad gave me his old car when he purchased a 1983
505 STI.
This car ran great but was rusting out bad.
1981 VW Jetta: My first car with a sunroof. This car was silver a great
looker then as well as today. However, it had several electrical
problems. Sold it to a VW mechanic.
1987 Toyota Camry: My first new car. I leased it and put on 114K. Sold
it for 4,800 in 1991. The same person still owns this car and I saw it
recently in Madison, WI with 267K.
1986 Nissan Maxima: Great car, still on the road today in Wisconsin
1991 405DL: This car was a lemon law car and bought back by Peugeot.
1992 Isuzu Rodeo: I hated this car and got rid of it after 3 months.
This too was a lemon law car due to a paint problem.
1994 Honda Accord Wagon: too plain and gave it to my wife
1993 Passat VR6: Great engine but loaded with problems. I still see this
same car bought locally.
1979 504 Gas: My father gave me his old car, which I have spent over 8K
fixing over the years. It is stored in the winter. However, I am losing
interest due to the need of rust work again.
1996 Saab 900: This was a good car but too small for my family. Also got
tired of shifting around town.
1996 Saab 9000: traded in on the 900. This is a great car and still
owned by us.
1985 505 Peugeot: Bought as a car for my employees to use. I use it
during the winter. This is a (1) owner car with no rust; However, it has
cost me a bundle to keep up. I drive this car when the roads are clean.
1996 Ford Ranger: Bought for use for my company: Cheap transportation
1996 Toyota Celica: Wife’s car traded it in for the Volvo
1998 Volvo s70: This is the most boring car ever made. I drove it 8K in
2 years and lost a lot when I traded it in.
1974 MGB: Always wanted one and bought a good condition car. Stored in
the winter but a fun summer car. Red with chrome bumpers.
2000 Lincoln Navigator: This is a true luxury SUV. Great family hauling:
Great in the snow. Leased vehicle.
1992 Ford Van: Company vehicle to replace the truck
This is a lot of cars for a guy that is only 41. Next summer looking for
a Studebaker Hawk:
