Peugeot factory connector used since the 88 model is the standard for all european model (however pin outs are not). You can buy one in any stereo installation shop. Ask for a standard european connector. However for the earlier model, so called, 'lego connector' is non standard and not available in the generic store including crutchfield. You have to order one from the peugeot if it's still available.

I've heard that Crutchfield actually sells an adapter that works with the
Peugeot factory connector.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] replacing factory radio
Hello folks!
I am finally ready to replace my original peugeot radio with a cd
player that has more power than the factory radio. I have installed
new speakers and didn't do much for me.
Does anyone know any manufacturer that would fit my current peugeot
wiring without cutting and rewiring? It would be great to just bring
the new radio and plug into the existing harness!
Thanks
Jamal
