I like to call it, "the sharp-edged metal thing that I always cut myself on
when un-installing radios." LOL. No really, I think it is usually referred
to as the 'mounting bracket'. In my experience, any brand name unit will
have one. Push down as many of those tabs as you can to make a thief's job
more difficult. Push down only a few to minimize the damage that the same
thief will do to your dash when they're removing the radio. Trust me, it
will be gone either way.
