    I use a power supply at work that has 3 16uf 4kv capacitors in parallel.
    They get charged to 3535 vdc and then discharged in less than a
    millisecond.
    Thats some serious current flow.
    Its used to create a very big spark or plasma, and some strong magnetic
    fields.

    I wouldn't worry to much about a 1 farad capacitor charged to less than
