Hey all,
I had a few problems this weekend on my 89 Mi16 and took care of it
but it was very frustrating till I found what the problem was. Here it
goes:
SYMPTOM: Car suddenly cuts in and out at any speed. It idle's very
rough, goes upto 3k and down to 1k back upto 4k etc.
CURE: Air sensor plug was corroded and wasn't giving the car the right
info. Unplugged it and plugged it back. Need to use some kind of
electrical cleaner (WD40).
SYMPTOM: Oil gets into spark plugs fouling them in a few weeks
CURE: I changed the cylinder head cover gasket a while back but didn't
change the spark plug opening gaskets because it didn't come with the
cover gasket. I put heavy amounts of gasket maker but I guess that
didn't work. Will work on it when it gets a little warm.
SYMPTOM: Driver side door wouldn't latch
