    Agreed. The Peugeot crest/logo on the 406 C nose is ugly, only
    surpassed by the exceptionally vulgar one of the 607. To add insult
    to injury, the same sort of crest reappears on the cars' butts.

    I think these logos and the massive crests are an attempt by Peugeot
    to belatedly develop an Alfa or BMW-like corporate nose/grille.

    I think they blew it when they left the trapezoidal headlight design
    of the 504/505. The 504 headlight was nothing like any other design
    seen before and gave a very interesting appearance to the nose. The
    505 repeated the theme quite well. Had they stuck with variations on
    that, they'd still have a stylistic gimmick to rely on and not have
    to reinvent a new one every decade.

    I am nowhere near as impressed by the latest Peugeot headlight shape
