'BOBI' are semi-sealed beam lights built to DOT (pre-1986)
specifications by Cibié. They are halogen lights but there is a
clear glass "balloon" permanently affixed to the reflector to keep
the optical unit hermetically sealed. The H4 bulb fits much as it
would for any H4 light. The lens has sealed-beam style aiming pads
and the light pattern is to DOT specification (i.e. vastly inferior
    to E-code standards).

BOBI stands for "Bloc Optique à Ballon Incoloré", or "optical unit
    with clear balloon".

A far better choice would be to get regular E-code lights, or better
    still, proper 505 lights.

BOBI lights should be consigned to the recycle bin.
