Can anyone tell me how to tell which cable is broken on my car (top

or bottom) as far as my speedo cable is concerned?

this is the second time i will have to change my speedometer cable,

last time i was driving, i just pulled out onto the main road, gave

it some gas, (wasn't going more the 20 some mph) then the speedo

jumped to 70+ back to Zero, to 20 then stopped working all together.

anythoughts????

If the cruise control does NOT work (and worked before the break) then it's
the LOWER cable that's broken

it will still work with only the UPPER broken
