Mi-16 Loose front end...

Hi all-
After taking a drive through the twisties in my Mi16 today, I've
decided that I need to do something with the front end. It's loose.
As far as I know, it hasn't ever been worked on, and now the car has
207,000 miles on it. It likes to clunk over bumps, and the car
wanders all over the road. You can hit a bump, and the car will clunk
and start pulling to one side. Then you hit another one, another
clunk, and it will pull to the OTHER side. The worst part is, even
with brand spankin' new spin-balanced Pirelli P4000s on the front,
the car shakes like hell any faster than 70 MPH. I mean the kind of
rumbling shaking where the dashboard seems to be going up and down
about a foot.
Curiously enough, the car still takes turns well, brakes excellently,
and has NO slop whatsoever in the steering.
So what am I looking at here? Control arm bushings? Ball joints? Tie
rod ends? Do bad struts cause the car to act weird? I really don't
want to replace them. When I push down on the car, it comes right
back up with no wobble.
Thanks for reading!
