And there is the sad sound of taps for the Robert Bosch sensor for
the cold start injector! Yes folks, another worker wagon will go
back in time to the good old manual choke. Except we will still keep
Robert's cold start injector, spiffing it up with a snipped ground
wire which ground we will route to a small plastic Radar Shack
pushbutton monentary switch which we will mount in the little plastic
trim that you have to remove to get to the phillips screw that holds
the lower dash panel on, to lower left of steering column on pre '86
units. The other wire will go to a known good ground next to
steering column, or out through fuse box wire harness hole to ground
under hood if you don't want to take the under dash panel down
again! Of course we will remove the cold jector to be sure it is
spraying, but then we are off to a new life of (as long as all else
is in shape) quick starts in any weather. This modification has
proven itself with two cars for the last two winters in Wisconsin and
Colorado. Owners report that these cars start when neighbors rice
rockets and what have you, take several turns and wear of who knows
what all to start! Thought irritated Lion lovers would appreciate
this clue. No offense to Robert who is to be repected for the first
years of these Lions existence. Hard times force us to deal with
reason after all is said and done! Bill
