My diesel pumps have cast impellers. But I would make no claims for their
moving more water. I am not even sure it is desirable to move more
water. If you move it faster than the radiator can cool it you are just
recirculating hot water, and using more horsepower to do it.
Peugeot TDs are designed to run at 80C. Do you know where that is on your
temp gauge? With your fan manually locked down, your thermostat is
probably restricting the flow most of the time trying to get the water up
to 80C.
