Here's a few thoughts on why the RC concept cars are destined for
    production:

    - the so obviously lack a grill, they will get something

    - in the side profile, the grill/hood area looks "bumper-ready"

    - if pure show, they not need a practical grill

    - if they are indeed runner/rollers, they're more than a styling study

    - the doors have functional windows, something often not dealt with on a
    show only car

    Regarding who copies how:

The rear quarter has a very Audi-TT contour to it which Lexus thought
enough of to copy for the SC-430.

Before we criticize a country's carmakers copying another, a maker copying
a maker, a designer copying a designer etc etc., even Pininfarina recycled
designs. The Fiat 124 certainly spawned a lot of the design elements of
the 504 Cabriolet. I have long contended that the Cad Allante, 405, and
Alfa 164 all shared common lines. Cad went on to use some of those lines
in its bigger cars and Peugeot enlarged the 405 to 605.
