fuel pump for 88 turbo S

Well I picked up they Turbo from the shop its running but not as I expect
it to. I will post another email later on: Has any one sued a Mechanic.
The car stumbles at 2500 to 2800 RPM, and after the car has been running
for avout 5 min the fuel pump gets very loud. So loud you car hear it in
the car with the windows up. IF you go under the car by the rear axle you
can feel it vibrating the fuel lines and fuel filter. Im guessing the pump
is going and lack of fuel may be the problem.
I saw a post about adapting a VW pump.? Is this true for this model? Or do
the "S" models have a unique pump.
