heh... Not being mechanically inclined, I tried to get the oil on my '86 505
changed at a place like that once when I was in a hurry. Not only did they
not have the filter, which I got at the autoparts place across the street,
but they didn't have a tool that would open the plug.

Well since the entire list has responded to this thread, I may as
well also. For over 15 years I have been using the butt end of an
antique drill bit with the big vise grip! Every time I change the
oil, (frequently), I tell myself that I need to get a real wrench for
this proceedure. It's getting to be sort of nostalgic now. I'll never
let one of those jiffy places touch my Pug. 52 years old still
crawling under the car, but I know whats in the crankcase. CC
