Joe,
For what it's worth: A few years ago, I swapped the normal H4 euro
headlights
with the H1/H4 euro headlights on my '85 turbo.
Modifications weren't needed. Adjustments weren't needed.
I remember Peugeot described the H1/H4 lights as "kangourou".
So I would guess that if a car accepts the euro H4 lights, it should also
accept the H1/H4 ones.
The H1 switches via a relay when you switch the H4 to high beam.
I hope this info is of any use.
Mathieu

Subject: E-spec headlights--comments and questions
On a related note, does anyone know what is required to fit the 505
H4/H1 (biode?) headlamps into a US spec '84-later 505? These cars
readily accept the H4-only E-code lights, but I heard the H4/H1 units
fit totally differently. Is this true?
Thanks
