    Steve,

I have never seen bad rear springs on a 505 wagon. Have seen a few bad
shocks, but generally they have leaked.

The transmission mount will generally only fail if it is oil-soaked, from
engine or transmission oil leaks. If bad, the transmission may pop out of
gear on sharp bumps, especially on a grade, and looseness may be felt
    through the shifter.

If the transmission freewheels instead of upshifting into second when cold,
it is usually a sticky governor. If the car has not been driven for a long
time when this happens, it may clear up on its own. Or the governor may be
removed by removing the transmission tail housing, cleaned, and replaced,
but that may be temporary if there is more of whatever debris is sticking
it is still present in the oil, or being generated by metal to metal wear
in the transmission or torque converter.
