There are 4 things that could have stripped,
the 2 banjo bolts or the threads into the side of the head or the block
I asume it's the head and you pulled the aluminum threads out
I will double check a bolt in my collection but I believe it is 8 X 1 mm
It is finer than the standard thread and most readily available 8 X 1.25 mm
A heli coil kit is probably available
Make sure the line isn't cracked and use 4 fresh copper washers
The heli coil is the fix I prefer

      Hello group

Well the 86 505 wagon that I gave to a friend has come back to haunt me
again. Its a 2.0L FI engine and has an external oil line that runs from the
block up to the head. It was leaking oil badly and when I tried to Snug it
down it stripped. Any one know what size HeliCoil I need or how else to
fix it ,, WITH the head still in place. I am not tearing the head off
again. I will have her junk it before I do that.

      Barry
