Yes, you copied and pasted some of what I wrote, but left out the
important context. That context being that Peugeot has had a
backwards attitude to the North American market, never took it
seriously, put third-rate executives here to cool their heels while
waiting for their transfer back to France, did not understand which
models to offer for sale, how to position their cars in this market
(especially the 405). So, for them to come back here sucessfully,
they'll have to think and act globally, hire local talent where
appropriate and empower it, etc.
I submit that all of these changes would require some intellectual
capacity building in the PSA brain trust, at least beyond where it
was a decade ago. This is a simple enough point, I think.
