Hello Peugeot lovers! I found the starting problem with my 88 505 2.2
non turbo U.S. car. The problem lies in the power to the fuel pump.
When I turn the key on the fuel pump does not prime up, but when the
key is in start I have power to the pump until I let off of the key.I
can take a jumper wire and run it to the fuel pump fuse and it starts
right away, I have to leave the wire on for about 10 sec. before the
fuel pump will run on its own power. My question is in my owners man.
the #6 fuse shows "available" and it lists it as "(+AC)run buss-plus
after contact". Can I safely tap into this fuse and bypass the main
fuel pump fuse? The MFPF is 15A the #6 fuse is 25A. Or is there some
kind of timer for the fuel pump? If so where? I have changed some
relays but I dont know if I changed the right one. Please help this
car is in great shape with only 89,000 miles it is my 3rd Peugeot I
have owned. I have found most problems whith these cars is simple and
easy to fix when you find them! Thanks, Luther
