    The speed sensor for the tach is located on the RH side of the engine
    on the bellhousing cover plate (near turbocharger). Check your fuses
    too.

    Your best bet to repair the odometer is to just purchase a good used
    speedo head. Various people (on this list) can sell you one for a
    reasonable price and it will save you the headache was rigging your
    old one. It is very easy to set the mileage on the replacement
    speedo. In instances where you are replacing a speedometer/odometer,
    federal law allows you to set the mileage one time. Of course, you
    can do whatever you want since it is your car, but the honorable
    thing to do... blah blah blah.
