Peugeot's return to North America

Hi, some interesting news I got at an informed Peugeot-dealership,
however, the "informant" couldn't supply all the details. It is
DEFINITE that Peugeot will return to North America no later than
2004. They are already hiring people as representatives, one area
representative of our region here in Germany is supposed to go. They
will come with a complete range of cars, not only for the luxury
market. He ( and I) suspect it'll be the 307 (complete range), the
then new 407, the 607 and the successor of the 206, maybe the 807 as
well. Let's wait and see whether it's going to be Canada and the US
or just one of them and what the prices will be like.
I'm sure this will spark a bit of discussion, whether it is a
believable info or not, well it fits in with other comments I got at
the last IAA, and from other Peugeot places as well. I would think an
official Peugeot statement is to be expected by spring or summer
2003. Have fun speculating, but the chances of return have never been
that high!!
