Peugeot will not have to worry so much about CAFE standards unlike a
lot of domestic and German manufacturers who produce large engined
gas guzzling vehicles.

Peugeot's engine size lineup is very much like Honda's. Honda does
not currently offer a V8, their largest V6 is 3.5 liters and that
only comes in a handful of expensive models.

Peugeot has the blessing of their HDi and HPi technology though. Not
only do they both work extremely well, they should appeal to the
gadget-minded American import car consumer.

A 206 or 307 HDi hatchback should nicely offset any wacked fuel
economy average.
