to concentrate on the basics - reliability, durability, and build
quality.
I was talking to some east coast people about cars and I was surprised
to find their interest in long running cars not that high. They all
cars rust out because of the salting during winter and that's just a
fact of life. I was shocked as they don't do it out in the west here
and cars are expected to last 200K+.
I wonder, do they salt the roads in Europe and could this be a factor in
why long running cars don't seem to be as important to some people?
