If you are talking about the grommet that goes through the nearly vertical
side of the rear fender (mine is a 1989 505 turbo), I put the remaining
pieces of my hardened rubber grommet together and fabricated the missing
pieces. I made a silicone mold of the glued together part and cast a
polyurethane piece of the mold. I glued it inside the fender (RTV adhesive)
and it works pretty well. It nicely holds the antenna in the right spot. I
am going to fabricate a second piece that looks like the original to cover
the outside. It looks a lot better than the hole or some of the glopped up
silicone jobs I have seen (no offence to the gloppers).
A NOS grommet just went on E-bay for $77.00!
