    question:

a blown head gasket on a 505 turbo -- what would such a problem cost to repair? further, is it the kind of mechanical breakdown that compromises the engine in some way, or conversely, does a breakdown such as this imply that the car wasn't especially well cared for (and therefore one should probably stay away from a car such as this?)

i'm wondering because there's a pretty nice 505 turbo i'm looking at that's only problem seems to be a blown a head gasket.
