    There is nothing like the North American north east coast to rot out cars or
    anything else for that matter. Most 405s stand up amazingly well. I have one
    here though that anywhere you touch, you can put your boot through it. The
    previous owner was amazed at how long it took for it to rust out. He owns
    one of the biggest landscaping companies around Ottawa and his vehicles are
    constantly in contact with fertilizers and other chemicals

    This is a fact: since 1987 when Peugeots have been galvanized
    (except the roof). They don't rust. If you see one after that in
    rust it simply is a bad repair.

    Some of you might think that: "can't be, my car has never been in
    accident". But you might be suprised how many new cars have to
    painted because of damages of transportation from factory to car
    dealer...
