    Hi,
     
    I live in the UK were salt is frequently used.
    About 7 or 8 years ago I caught the rear passenger door on a concrete hydrant marker and put a long door wide dent in the door skin. This shows the undercoat paint. Even to this day there is still no sign of rust and I have never bothered repairing it.
