Website says they'll still supply parts (but for how long?) Then, even with
parts, who will do the service? Modern bikes are not so simple a DIY item. I
had a new 1980 PEUGEOT 102 moped in 1985 (was sitting in a garage for 5 years
when I bought it), was a major pain to get anyone to service it. With no
parts available (west coast Cycles Peugeot had shut down), I had to abandon it,
gave it away. Unless one wanted it as a collectable, not something to buy for
regular use, I'd say.

Hah! I just did the same thing. I was in Miami / South Beach about 2
weeks ago. I knew that Peugeot dealership was down there and looked at
every scooter I saw looking for Peugeot, but I didn't see one. Saw lots
of other European style scooters though.
