    don't forget the kickdown cable. It tells the transmission, by your
    throttle position, how much power you are asking for, and adjusts the
    tranny torque output and response accordingly. If the cable is loose,
    broken, or misadjusted you could be causing your own tranny symptoms. This
    is assuming the fluid level is right.
