Up here in Canada - I just looked at the phone book and found tow truck companies that will haul cars away for free. I called them to see what they'd take and they pretty much said anything goes.

I've since had them pick up two cars that were just shells. They were a bugger to load - they even had to call another tow truck to pick it up off the ground and then flat bed to haul it out. Even with all that it didn't cost me a dime - I tipped the driver though.

A while back I posted to see if I could compile a "top 100" list of things to part off a 505 Peugeot but no one responded except for Jurgen. I think a list would be great so that you could properly part out a car and not miss any good parts.

There have been a few times where I've been tempted to buy a car "cheap" for
parts. However, I what I don't know is what to do with the shell or
      leftovers.

Once I did inquire at the junk yard I sometimes visit, and if it was
"rolling" they would only charge $250 to pick it up, otherwise they didn't
      want it.

Can anyone share their experience/wisdom on getting rid of whatever is
      leftover?
