    Hi all,

On my way back from visiting family this holiday season one of the dash lights came on that I've never seen work - I assumed it was a brake pad wear indicator - but was a bit unsure. I just remembered to check it out.

I figured I'd check the owners manual that came with the car. (Fancy black tri-fold manual holder with the Peugeot standing lion - It's really nice so I keep it with my collection of all things Peugeot.) I opened it up and the first thing that struck me was two business cards. One was for the original salesman from Eastern Auto Distributors INC. In Norfolk Virginia... The second simply says:

    Edward "Peugeot Pete" Ives
    I FIX PEUGEOTS, INC.
    (phone number)

The car was bought from the original owner by my brother in VA, and he then gave it to me when he got another car. I brought the 86' 505 GL-Turbo up to Regina Saskatchewan Canada about 3 years ago. I hadn't looked at the folder since I got the car - so it was something I never thought remember.

Makes me quite happy to know that our Pete was very likely the guy who did the work on my car - and very likely why everything works on it - including the brake pad were indicator! (I was right when I guessed... :)

Just thought I'd share that with people that can appreciate it!

Best of the holiday season to everyone and hope everyone has a happy new year!

    Rabin
